清明节，又称踏青节、行清节、三月节、祭祖节等，节期在仲春与暮春之交。清明节源自上古时代的祖先信仰与春祭礼俗，兼具自然与人文两大内涵，既是自然节气点，也是传统节日。

 The Qingming Festival, also known as the Tomb-Sweeping Day, Pure Brightness Festival, March Festival, and Ancestral Worship Festival, falls between mid-spring and late spring. Originating from the ancestral beliefs and spring sacrificial customs of ancient times, the Qingming Festival embodies both natural and cultural significance. It is both a solar term and a traditional festival.

扫墓Tomb-Sweeping 

“南北山头多墓田，清明祭扫各纷然。”扫墓祭祖是清明的重要内容之一。清明扫墓，即为“墓祭”，谓之对祖先的“思时之敬”，祭扫祖先是对先人的缅怀方式，其习俗由来久远。 

“Many graves are seen on southern and northern hills; on Qingming Day, tomb-sweeping is in a busy whirl.” Tomb-sweeping and ancestor-worshipping are among the most important aspects of the Qingming Festival. Tomb-sweeping, also known as “grave worship,” is an expression of “reverence for ancestors in their time.” It is a way to honor and remember our forebears, a custom with a long and storied history.

踏青Spring Outing 

踏青是清明节的重要习俗之一。清明时节，春回大地，万物复苏，自然界呈现出一片生机勃勃的景象。踏青，即为“春游”，谓之对自然的“亲近之乐”，踏青赏景是对春天的热爱与享受。 

Spring outings are one of the important customs of the Qingming Festival. During this season, spring returns to the earth, all things are rejuvenated, and nature is full of vitality. Spring outings, also known as "spring excursions," are described as "the joy of being close to nature." Enjoying the scenery during a spring outing is an expression of love for and enjoyment of spring.
